Question to the Department for International Development:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what discussion they have had with the government of India regarding its sterilisation campaign and incentives.

The UK does not and has never supported sterilisation camps where mass sterilisation takes place and will continue to lobby the government of India to stop operating such camps at all opportunities where family planning is discussed.
