Question to the Home Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government how many of the 41 Chief Constables presently serving in police forces in England and Wales have served as police officer, at any rank, outside the UK at any time prior to their appointment to Chief Constable rank.

The Home Office does not hold or collect any information on the previous postings of serving police officers in England and Wales, which may include time served outside the UK.
