Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask His Majesty's Government how many organisations (1) applied for, and (2) received funding from, the 2022 Windrush Day Grant Scheme in 2022.

The 2022 Windrush Day Grant Scheme was launched on Wednesday 9 February 2022. 198 eligible applications were received for the scheme. The former DLUHC Minister, Kemi Badenoch MP, approved funding to 35 charities, community groups and local authorities in England

Thanks to our funding, events took place on Windrush Day (22 June) and throughout the year, helping to remember and recognise the leading role that the Windrush generation and their descendants played in making Britain stronger, prosperous, and culturally richer.
