Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether, in its negotiations with Israel during the peace process, the Quartet will apply strict conformity to the requirements of the Fourth Geneva Convention.

This question was answered on 4th December 2014
There are currently no Middle East Peace Process negotiations. US Secretary of State Kerry has made clear that the US is fully committed to bringing the parties back to negotiations, and we would look to the Quartet to play a supportive role should they resume. During the last round of negotiations between July 2013 and April 2014, the Quartet called on all parties to take every possible step to promote conditions conducive to the success of the negotiating process and to refrain from actions that undermine trust or prejudge final status issues.
