Dementia: National Institute for Health and Care Excellence

Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask His Majesty's Government whether the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence plans to develop guidelines on rare dementias.
This question was answered on 22nd September 2026
There are no such plans at present, but the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence continues to consider any new proposals for guidance development in line with its normal prioritisation process.
