Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they are making to the government of Israel following the approval, by the Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit, of the expropriation of private Palestinian land for the building of an access road to an Israeli settler outpost in the West Bank.

​While we have not raised this specific issue with the Israeli authorities, the Government is clear that Israeli outposts in the West Bank are illegal under international law and Israeli law and should be removed entirely. The retroactive approval of unauthorised settlement outposts undermines the physical viability of the two-state solution.
