Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government in which areas Iran has breached the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action; and why Her Majesty's Government have not withdrawn from that Plan.
We remain fully committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPoA), a key achievement of the global nuclear non-proliferation architecture, which is in our shared security interests. Since July, Iran has exceeded key JCPoA limits on uranium enrichment, uranium stockpiles and on 7 September announced suspension of the JCPoA's nuclear research and development restrictions. We are deeply concerned by Iran's steps to reduce compliance with the deal. We are working closely with remaining JCPoA parties to address this and we urge Iran to reverse the steps it has taken.
