Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask His Majesty's Government what criteria NHS England will use to determine which planned treatment areas are suitable for inclusion in NHS Online.

NHS Online is being built using existing virtual outpatient models, learning from the delivery of virtual consultations carried out during the COVID-19 pandemic, and from other examples in the United Kingdom and overseas. Clinical experts are helping to assess planned care pathways against several criteria to understand their suitability for virtual delivery, including diagnostic complexity, and assessments of safety and risk.
