Driving under Influence: Prosecutions

Question to the Department for Transport:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they have any plans to collect annual figures for the prosecution of incidents of drink driving which involve a casualty.

The Ministry of Justice collect statistics on the prosecution of drink drive offences and The Department for Transport collects casualty statistics involving drink driving. These statistics are published on GOV.UK The Department is working with the Ministry of Justice to see if we can make the link between drink drive prosecutions and casualties. If that is possible we intend to publish the results.
