Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Baroness Anelay of St Johns on 31 December (HL3732), what action they have taken to ensure that Israel has fulfilled its legal obligations under applicable international law.

We have frequently raised Israel's obligations under International Humanitarian Law and international human rights law with the Israeli authorities, including the obligation of the occupying power to facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, and that destruction of Palestinian property is a violation of the Fourth Geneva Convention.
