Question to the Department for Transport:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government how they intend to ensure that Chiltern Railways improves its performance against the five standards as set out in the Rail Compensation – update report published by the Office of Rail and Road in December.

This question was answered on 9th January 2017

The Government expects that the information provided by train operators to passengers wishing to make a claim is easy to find, easy to understand and empowers passengers to claim. The process of claiming must be as quick and straightforward as it can be.

The Government Response to the Which? Super-complaint report outlines the steps that the industry is committed to taking and the role that Government is playing in this, including through franchising.
