Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what is the estimated increase in council tax arrears following changes to council tax benefit.

Local authorities are responsible for assessing the impact of their local council tax support schemes, including on arrears, and ensuring that this is taken into account when schemes are reviewed.
