Question to the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they plan to encourage Jewish faith leaders in the United Kingdom publicly to condemn settlement building by Israel and to make clear their support for universal human rights.

The Government does not ask faith leaders to comment on the actions of foreign governments. Moreover our support for universal human rights is clear. The UK's position on settlements is they are illegal, present an obstacle to peace, and take us further away from a two state solution.
