As set out in the Trade White Paper, published last October, the Government is committed to securing continuity in the effect of existing EU free trade agreements and other EU preferential arrangements. We are discussing with our trading partners how this continuity is best achieved and discussions are progressing positively. Our approach will also take into consideration the outcome of the UK-EU negotiations on an implementation period.
