Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what is their assessment of the legislation before the Parliament of Israel that would set a high threshold for any future vote on ceding parts of Jerusalem to Palestinians.

We are concerned that the recently passed amendment to the Basic Law makes the prospects of meaningful and peaceful progress towards a two-state solution, with Jerusalem as a shared capital, more difficult.
