Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask Her Majesty's Government for how long the Financial Reporting Council has been classified by the National Accounts Classification Committee as a central government public body.

The Financial Reporting Council was classified as a public body by the Office for National Statistics on 31^st October 2004. Following a review, in 2014 the Office of National Statistics reconfirmed the Financial Reporting Council’s classification as a public body and in 2017 the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy confirmed it is expected to remain as such.
