Question to the Department for International Development:
To ask Her Majesty's Government how they assess the return on investment to the British economy from foreign aid spending.

Aid is squarely in the UK national interest. Developing countries will be major markets and important trading partners for the UK in the future. Our support will promote trade, investment and stability, in addition to the development impact on the lives of the poorest.
