Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government which entity they recognise as the legitimate government of Syria.

The British Government recognises nation states and not governments. While the UK does not recognise the National Coalition of Syrian Revolution and Opposition Forces as the Syrian government, the UK does recognise the Syrian National Coalition as the sole legitimate representative of the Syrian people.
