Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask Her Majesty's Government what steps they are taking to safeguard businesses from the possibility of a "no deal" Brexit; and what is their assessment of the survey by the manufacturers' organisation EEF that only about one in three manufacturers have contingency plans for such an event.

The Government is engaging with businesses in order to understand the challenges and opportunities as we leave the European Union. We understand the importance of clarity for the business community, and are working with a wide range of organisations including EEF to get the right deal for industry and ensure the UK remains the best possible place to do business.
