Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether the European Commission has yet submitted an opinion on the application of Bosnia-Herzegovina for EU membership; and if not, when this is expected.

The European Commission has not yet submitted an opinion on the application of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for membership of the EU, as it is waiting for the Government of Bosnia and Herzegovina to submit its response to the EU's membership questionnaire. The Chairman of the Council of Ministers of BiH announced on 16 January that all disputable issues have been resolved, and that BiH's response to the questionnaire will be submitted to the European Commission in the coming weeks.
