In the year ending 31 March 2016, there were 50 unaccompanied asylum-seeking children under 12 years of age who were looked after in a foster placement in England and 1,560 between the ages of 12 to 18 years.

The Department for Education only holds the information for England. The devolved administrations hold the information for the other constituent countries.
