Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they intend to make representations to the government of Israel about that government's reported attempts to stop repairs and renovations to the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

We have not made representations to the Government of Israel about any such alleged events. However, in our meetings with the Israeli authorities we regularly raise the need to respect the status quo on the holy sites in Jerusalem.
