Question to the Home Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what estimate they have made of the cost to the UK of providing security for the visit of the US President to the UK; and which department or agency will be meeting those costs.

Policing is a devolved matter, and as such the level of policing required and costs incurred for specific events is a matter for the relevant Chief Constable and Police and Crime Commissioner. Police and Crime Commissioners can make an application for a Special Grant if they face significant and exceptional costs.
