Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Earl Howe on 25 February (HL 4956) concerning meetings with smoking organisations, whether they will now arrange to meet the Freedom Organisation for the Right to Enjoy Smoking Tobacco; and when they last met representatives of the tobacco industry.

Requests for meetings are considered by the Department when they are received.

Officials met with representatives of the Digital Coding and Tracking Association, whose members include British American Tobacco, Philip Morris International, Imperial Tobacco and Japan Tobacco International, on 18 November 2014 to discuss the track and trace and security features of the revised Tobacco Products Directive.
