Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether they intend to support the Palestinian Authority’s action to encourage Israel to assume all responsibilities for the Occupied Territories according to international law.

We repeatedly call on Israel to abide by its obligations under international law and hold a regular dialogue with Israel on legal issues relating to the occupation. We note the Palestinian decision to submit instruments of accession to a number of international conventions on 31 December 2014. However, we continue to believe that the best way for Palestinian aspirations on statehood to become a reality, including on the ground, is through a negotiated two-state solution.
