Question to the Home Office:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government whether their estimated annual cost for administering the Azure Card scheme is inclusive of the costs of applicants transitioning from support under section 95 to section 4 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

The Azure card is provided to failed asylum seekers supported under section 4 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999. The estimated costs of administering the card do not include the costs of assessing applications for section 4 support, including applications from persons previously on section 95 support.
