Question to the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have to increase the overall limit on the capacity of renewable energy generation at auctions.

On 20^th May, the Government increased the budget available to offshore wind projects in the fourth Contracts for Difference allocation round by £10m to £210m. While there are maximum limits on how much onshore wind and solar can be successful in the auction, there are no limits on the capacity of other technologies, including offshore wind.
