Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the main challenges in restarting routine vaccination programmes (1) during, and (2) after, the COVID-19 pandemic.

The primary challenges in restoring routine vaccinations during the COVID-19 pandemic include school closures, for delivery of school-based vaccination programmes and the need to observe social distancing and provide vaccinations in line with guidance on infection prevention and control requirements. The National Health Service is continuing to assess these challenges and respond appropriately as we move into subsequent phases of the pandemic.
