Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty’s Government what are the reasons for delays in introducing a vaccine against meningitis B.

The introduction of the meningococcal B vaccine, Bexsero, depends on the outcome of negotiations with the manufacturer for supply at a cost-effective price, as recommended by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation. We aim to conclude these negotiations as soon as possible.
