Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:
To ask Her Majesty’s Government, further to the Written Answer by Lord Prior of Brampton on 4 February (HL5343), what assessment Genomic England or the NHS has made of the Broad Institute’s TARGET database of clinically actionable mutations, and whether they have anything further to add to that answer in the light of the fact that a mutation is not clinically actionable unless a drug is available that targets it.
Genomics England is familiar with the Broad Institute’s database and it is one of a number of data sources that will be included in their clinical interpretation process.
