Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will propose the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Human Rights Council's Commission of Inquiry on Human Rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

The Government has no plans to propose the renewal of the mandate of the United Nations Human Rights Council's Commission of Inquiry (COI) on Human Rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). The COI has fulfilled its mandate and has produced its final report after systematically collecting detailed accounts of appalling human rights violations in a way that has never been done previously.
