Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask His Majesty's Government what the cost of each seal used to enable monitoring and protect the movement of each trip containing a consignment of food retail or goods moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland will be; and whether the cost of such seals will be met by His Majesty’s Government or the individual haulier.

It is correct that goods moving from Great Britain to Northern Ireland, including food retail goods, which are intended to stay in Northern Ireland, will travel in sealed consignments to ensure that only internal UK traders are able to move goods without being subject to tariffs.
