Question to the Home Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they have any plans to reassess their target to reduce net migration to below 100,000 per year.

The Government is committed to controlled and sustainable migration, which we have said means bringing net migration down to the tens of thousands, but we have also been clear that this will take time.

We are building an immigration system that serves the national interest by welcoming legitimate migrants, and which is fair to those who are already here and achieves the best possible outcome for the British people.
