The RSPCA has access to the Police National Computer (PNC) via the ACRO Criminal Records Office. ACRO provide a bureau service on behalf of a number of non-police prosecuting agencies.

The only charity that has direct access to the PNC is the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
