Question to the Home Office:
To ask Her Majesty's Government what provision there is in UK law for all agents representing the interests of foreign powers in a political or quasi-political capacity to disclose their relationship with a foreign government and information about their activities and finances.
UK law does not currently require such disclosure. However, as my Rt. Hon Friend the Prime Minister announced in the House of Commons on 14 March (Hansard col. 856), as part of an update on the Salisbury incident, the Government is reviewing whether there is a need for new counter-espionage powers.
