Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask Her Majesty's Government what are the implications of the commitment to free and fair trade with third countries in Article 3(5) of the Treaty on European Union for the UK's negotiating position.

The UK and the EU are supporters of free and fair trade, and are cognisant of provisions in the EU treaties towards third countries. Both parties are seeking an ambitious future bilateral relationship that delivers a free and fair trading future for UK-EU trade.
