Every delegated power has to be treated on its own merit and the level of parliamentary scrutiny proposed will depend on the nature of the delegated power, past precedent and the level of interest in a particular policy area. In line with the recommendations of the Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform Committee, the Government has agreed not to create additional procedures where it is not necessary to do so.
