Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the EU chief negotiator's comments that the UK's custom deal proposals are not realistic.

The final form of the new customs relationship with the European Union will be discussed with the Commission, and form part of the negotiations. We are confident that a positive deal can be reached. The UK is fully committed to negotiating a deep and special partnership with the European Union, which is in the mutual interest of the EU and UK.
