Question to the Department for Exiting the European Union :

To ask Her Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the impact of the uncertainty regarding their customs proposals on the progression of Brexit negotiations.

The Government has put forward two approaches that most closely meet our objectives. The final form of the future customs relationship with the European Union will be discussed with the Commission, and form part of the negotiations. We are confident that a positive deal can be reached.
