Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they plan to make to the government of Israel about reports that (1) classroom chairs and tables, and (2) roof panels, from an elementary school in Ras al-Tin have been confiscated by that government.

It is essential to have a strong and thriving Palestinian education system in order to provide opportunities for the next generation. UK aid to the Palestinian Authority (PA) helps to ensure it can deliver essential services including the provision of education and health services in the West Bank.

We have regular discussions with the PA on the importance of ensuring children get a quality education.
