Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government whether they will announce at the Western Balkans Summit in London in July an increase in the number of Chevening Scholarships to be made available to the countries of that region who are not EU members.

We have a strong track record of using our Western Balkans Chevening Scholarship Programme to influence and help deliver policy objectives. Since 2014-15 the number of Western Balkans Chevening Scholars has more than tripled. We are considering next steps and a decision will be announced in due course.
