Question to the HM Treasury:
To ask His Majesty's Government what assessment they have made of the risks and benefits of introducing the digital pound, including on financial stability.

HM Treasury and the Bank of England will conduct a full examination of the costs and benefits of introducing a digital pound, including an assessment of any potential financial stability impacts. This assessment will be made before any decision is taken.
