Question to the Department of Health and Social Care:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what plans they have, if any, to quarantine British citizens repatriated from Wuhan, China.

This question was answered on 5th February 2020

British citizens repatriated from Wuhan will be put into supported isolation for any medical needs that they may have and to protect the public.

Asymptomatic passengers will be transferred to a National Health Service accommodation facility to spend at least 14 days in supported isolation. If any passengers develop symptoms, they will be assessed and transferred to appropriate NHS care facilities nearby.

In supported isolation, individuals will made as comfortable as possible throughout the duration of their stay and a range of support will be available to ensure their needs are met. They will have access to a team of medical staff who will closely monitor their condition.
