Question to the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what representations they have made to the government of Israel about reports that four Palestinians were injured by the Israel Defence Force during demonstrations in Kufur Qaddoum.

Whilst we have not made representations on these reports, we have repeatedly made clear to Israel our longstanding concerns about incidents of excessive use of force by the IDF and urge restraint in the use of live fire. We continue to stress the importance of the Israeli security forces providing appropriate protection to the Palestinian civilian population. We call on Israel to adhere to the principles of necessity and proportionality when defending its legitimate security interest.
