Investigation into the Welsh mental health services and reform it
- Final Signatures: 19
People across Wales are speaking out about worrying experiences with mental health services. Many report unsafe care, long waits, poor accountability, and being ignored when asking for help. These are not isolated cases but system-wide failures raised by Healthcare Inspectorate Wales and Care Inspectorate Wales. Mental health is still not treated equally to physical health. We call on the Welsh Government to investigate and reform services so people receive safe, timely, compassionate care.
Wild camping is extremely beneficial for individuals who may have too much weight on their shoulders. It allows us to freely remove ourselves from toxic and harmful environments, allowing us to find our inner peace and bring us back to connection with the beauty of nature.
Erect a Statue for Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd
- Final Signatures: 1,011
Gwenllian ferch Gruffydd is one of Cymru's greatest medieval figures and, certainly, one of our most important. As a warrior princess who died valiantly in battle in the year of 1136 against the Norman forces of Maurice de Londres, she deserves far more appreciation. Just as there is a statue to the other great, Brythonic warrior Princess, Buddug (Boudica) in London, so too should there be one for Gwenllian in Cymru.
Welsh students applying for specialist musical theatre and dance degrees in England now face new barriers because the way funding and course designation works in practice has changed. Many courses no longer meet Student Finance Wales conditions, disadvantaging Welsh applicants compared with students elsewhere in the UK. This shift has created uncertainty and made planning applications far more difficult.
Ban Pavement Parking Put Safety and Access First
- Final Signatures: 6
When pavements are blocked, pedestrians are funnelled into the carriageway, creating pinch points, reducing safe walking space, and increasing conflict between pedestrians, cyclists, and drivers. Vehicles parked close to junctions and crossings also create blind spots, obstructing sight-lines and making it harder for all road users to see and be seen — a known contributor to collisions.
The law should be if a household has a driveway, that space should be used for parking
Most GP surgeries in Wales refuse to accept ADHD diagnoses and prescriptions from private companies, despite the backlog. The reason often given by GPs is that some companies are 'unscrupulous' or have not been verified. This petition requests that the Senedd allow NHS Wales to reconsider this. NHS Wales could evaluate and approve certain private providers, as they have done for private healthcare companies that offer inpatient services.
Introduce the Mandatory Microchipping of Cats in Wales
- Final Signatures: 375
Our previous petition and campaigning on this issue saw the Welsh Government commit to consider mandatory microchipping in it's published Animal Welfare Plan for
Wales 2021-26. This has not happened.
Microchipping is part of responsible pet ownership and has
countless benefits for both cat and owner. If a persons cat Becomes lost, stolen or gets injured, a microchip is the best chance for reunification, and microchips ease strain on rescue centres.
At the moment, school leavers in Wales will know more about the history of America and Nazi Germany than the history of their own country. The new GCSEs in History being introduced in September this year are likely to exacerbate this situation even further.
We need your support to ensure that learning the story of our country is put at the forefront, giving our young people the opportunity to understand and appreciate Welsh history as a central part of their education.
Communities across Wales are experiencing persistent landfill odours that significantly affect health, wellbeing and quality of life. Current monitoring relies heavily on intermittent site visits, operator self-reporting and complaint-led investigations, which often fail to capture real-time impacts. Without continuous automated monitoring, harmful odour events can go undetected, disputed or minimised, leaving residents without effective protection or transparency.

Meddygfa’r Sarn GP Surgery provides essential General Medical Services to patients in Pontyates and the surrounding rural area. Hywel Dda University Health Board will consider proposals on 29 January to review current arrangements and potentially disperse patients to neighbouring GP practices from 30 June 2026. No final decision has been made. Residents are concerned about increased travel distances and reduced continuity of care. Petitioners seek Senedd scrutiny before any decision is taken.
