Historically, Sikhs have been very involved in the British (Indian) Army, serving in many wars and battles (WW1, WW2 and the Battle of Saragarhi). We believe opening a Sikh regiment in the UK army will help represent the previous bravery of Sikhs not just in the British Army, but in the World too.

Introduce compensation for veterans, their families and inhabitants affected by 1950s bomb tests, including the H-bomb, on Christmas Island. Some veterans of weapons tests from other countries have been compensated. But the UK government has not introduced compensation for veterans of British tests.
Make it illegal to sell MoD medals to members of the public who have not served

Require British Gurkha pensions to only be paid in British pounds sterling

We want the Government to pay British Gurkha pensions in British pounds only wherever we are. At the moment, it is paid in NCR if you are in Nepal. Once its in Nepal’s currency, many Gurkhas may find it difficult to use their pension outside of Nepal even if they live in the UK.
Allow people with coeliac disease to join the armed forces

The Royal Navy plans on using Multi-Role Strike Ships, but these ships aren't designed for foreign aid. Hospital ships are protected by international law and have the infrastructure to provide humanitarian aid.

Lincolnshire has had strong links with the Royal Air Force since before its founding in 1918 and the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team has been synonymous with Lincolnshire for more than 30 years. The Red Arrows team should be kept in the county if RAF Scampton is to close.
