Question to the Scotland Office:

To ask Her Majesty's Government what recent steps they have taken to help support Scotland's recovery from the COVID-19 outbreak.

Answered by Lord Offord of Garvel

The UK Government’s furlough and self-employed support schemes supported more than 900,000 Scottish jobs at their peak and more than 100,000 Scottish businesses have benefitted from £4 billion of UK Government Covid loans. Going forward, the Government is directly investing £191 million in Scotland through the Community Renewal Fund, Community Ownership fund and Levelling Up Fund. The UK Government is also investing billions of pounds to help people of all ages back into work, including through our £2 billion kickstart scheme.
