Question to the Ministry of Justice:

To ask Her Majesty's Government how many people were found guilty of animal cruelty in England and Wales in (1) 2017, and (2) 2018.

The Ministry of Justice has published data on the number of people found guilty of animal cruelty in England and Wales up to December 2017. Data up to December 2018 will be published on 16 May 2019.

The number of offenders convicted of animal cruelty offences in 2017 was 809.
