Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

What progress has been made on restoring devolved government in Northern Ireland.

Answered by Karen Bradley

I recently held bilateral discussions with party leaders in Belfast to talk about next steps in Northern Ireland and I will meet the parties again shortly. During our discussions, I reviewed the current position with them and explored how the restoration of devolution might be achieved while ensuring the good governance of Northern Ireland in the interim.

Question to the Northern Ireland Office:

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland, what progress has been made on restoring devolved government in Northern Ireland.

Answered by James Brokenshire

There remain a small number of differences, particularly around language and culture and sustainability of the Executive, which the parties are continuing to discuss with the support of the UK Government and, as appropriate, the Irish Government.
