To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will consider the potential merits of allocating funds to local authorities for the removal of asbestos from public buildings.

Funding is available to local authorities through the Local Government Finance Settlement for 2023/24, the majority of which is un-ringfenced in recognition of local authorities being best placed to understand local priorities.

We have consulted on proposed changes to the National Planning Policy Framework for onshore wind.

The consultation closed on 2 March 2023 and an official response will be set out in due course.
