To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, if he will consider the potential merits of allocating funds to local authorities for the removal of asbestos from public buildings.

Funding is available to local authorities through the Local Government Finance Settlement for 2023/24, the majority of which is un-ringfenced in recognition of local authorities being best placed to understand local priorities.

To ask the Secretary of State for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities, what steps he is taking to permit the development of new onshore wind farms in England.

The consultation closed on 2 March 2023 and an official response will be set out in due course.

The amount of UKSPF spend in the 2022-23 financial year will be quantified when local authorities submit monitoring reports at the end of the financial year.
